About me

My parents met and fell in love at New Mexico State University in the 70s.  My Dad's career led our family to many states: Texas (where my older brother was born), Kentucky (my birthplace, and my younger brother's), Kansas, and Pennsylvania.  Growing up, several family vacations in the packed gray station wagon to visit aunts, uncles, cousins, and grandparents in New Mexico felt surreal and sublime.

I too met my love during college, at Tyler School of Art of Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where my husband Dan and I each earned our Bachelor of Fine Arts in Painting, Drawing, and Sculpture.

A few years later in 2007, Dan and I married in the countryside of Philadelphia.  We each created several series of artwork which can be sampled at our websites: Daniel Weishampel and Beckoline.

Dan and I moved to New Mexico in the Fall of 2015, and live just over the mountain from where my parents retired.  I've combined many elements of my past projects to create my latest series of mixed media art:, Southwestern landscapes / drawing + collage + watercolor.  A peculiar paring of tranquil and hip, which is how I'd describe our new home of Albuquerque, New Mexico.
